Years ago, a good friend sent me a cheery card with a photo of a costumed cat and the words inside, “Pink Makes Everything Better!”
It is thumbtacked to the wall in my studio and every time I see it I do think pink and it makes me happy.
Pink, a lovely color with its connotations of soft peacefulness, often finds its way into my paintings.

Yesterday evening the setting sun suffused the air with a warm pink glow and the plants in my little patio garden reflected the color back so that it seemed for a few moments the world was awash in a magical pink light. Happy indeed.
