Here is a painting I have thought of doing for over a year.
I spotted this huge cloud formation one cool day in late summer as I was driving out Clary Road. Although there was little discernible movement, I imagined the cloud reeling and dipping and dancing in the air. I marveled at the size and nearness to the earth and thought I’d never seen a cloud quite like it before.
Those images remain quietly in the mind’s eye of an artist. When the time is right they emerge as a painting on pastel paper.
I have recorded a memory to share.
